The OD of the spare tire is smaller than the OD of the factory rear tires. If you get a flat on the rear, you have to transfer one of your front wheels to the rear and put the spare on the front. Having the spare on the rear will cause the axle on that side to rotate faster than the side with the full sized tire. This damages the LSD.
Hmmm, now I understand it.
This could be a reason also. Aspecially because the last owner changed the reartyres just before she sells it (well ,this is what the dealer told me).

If it isn't the allignment or psi, that's no car for me.

did you check the springs? sometimes there are still some S2000's with the spring spacers that contribute to some odd handling characteristics.
