so the option to be able to bolt up the factory heat shield is basically the only difference between berk an t1r or is there a power difference on a stock motor with stock exhuast?
I suppose you could say "quality" is also a difference. There have been a couple threads which mentioned cracking on TP welds. I believe berk and T1R have both proven themselves to be quality products.
As far as power, regardless of what you've heard TP's do not make much power. Close to no gains as a matter of fact. They will change the sound of the exhaust though.
If sound is your goal you may consider having the resonator removed from your stock exhaust. That is a good alternative to a TP.
There are a lot of down sides to TPs that are being overlooked.....
T1R testpipes have rattled when the cat heatshield is used and some of the tabs have broken off.
i have invidia and i just took mine off cause i dont need the extra power right now, and the smell was getting annoying

Berk is an awesome testpipe, plus its only 99 shipped. No complaints just installed the berk testpipe, with a megan header, and a 63mm single T1R exhuast all I can say is wow plus it sounds really nice all the way through the rev range

Anyone else with this problem?
