I think it is noticeable but not all that bad. I guess if you are into huffing the ole tale pipe it might get to you after a while. Top up, hardly noticeable, windows down a bit more, and top down you will smell it while stopped. Me, I like the smell.

Carbon Monoxide Kills

We have seen levels over 500ppm in a catless turbo S2000 while driving

Carbon Monoxide is odorless

PPM CO Time Symptoms

50 PPM 8 hours Maximum exposure allowed by OSHA in the
workplace over an eight hour period.

200 PPM 2-3 hours Mild headache, fatigue, nausea and dizziness.

400 PPM 1-2 hours Serious headache- other symptoms intensify.
Life threatening after 3 hours.

800 PPM 45 minutes Dizziness, nausea and convulsions.
Unconscious within 2 hours. Death within 2-3
hours.

1600 PPM 20 minutes Headache, dizziness and nausea. Death within
1 hour.

3200 PPM 5-10 minutes Headache, dizziness and nausea. Death within
1 hour.

6400 PPM 1-2 minutes Headache, dizziness and nausea. Death within
25-30 minutes.

12,800 PPM 1-3 minutes Death.

Something to think about . Is 5-10 whp (if that) worth your health and the health of others ???

And NO you are not just smelling gas . Cars with test pipes run leaner unless retuned for the mod. Then yes if you are running rich you will smell fuel . The Catalyst is not there to make your car smell better it is there to reduce Carbon Monoxide .

So even if you don't smell anything you are still being effected .

just make sure you don't have an exhaust leak and you're okay with the test pipe setup.

I don't notice the smell anymore, it wasn't that bad too begin with.

1) Have you recorded these inside the vehicle while driving, or in an enclosed garage, or standing right behind the exhaust?

2) That's with a turbo vehicle... I assume a NA vehicle would have different levels?

Question 1 answers itself ?????? WHILE DRIVING the CO meter is in the driver compartment .

Question 2 . Its a example . One poster has already stated he gets headaches . But for reference while driving part throttle FI or NA your car should be running close to stoichiometric . The turbo car in question get 30mpg at 400whp so I dont think it is running rich ( Rule #1 your engine is a air pump ) at WOT is a different story . But I dont think you would get to much CO in the interior going 100+mph you would just be killing everyone behind you ( No big deal right ,LOL )

But turbo or NA thats not the point . I am just trying to help you live a better life . I am around CarbonMonoxide all day . I have found after putting detectors in my shop and ventilating things differently I feel much better .

Im not going to argue with everyone about it . Like I said it does not matter if you smell anything because it is odorless. Arguing also wont make your car run cleaner because you think so or so and so said it is OK .You are all welcome to listen to whom ever you want . We ran a test and I am sharing our findings . So you can take the facts of what we did and do what you will with them .

It is your health do what you want .

Merry Christmas everyone

The s2000 is a ulev2 vehicle which Honda is very proud of and is better enviromentally, hardly worth loosing that rating for 5hp.

Twiztid, you're way too defensive. I was simply asking for more information. If you're going to make a bold statement that an S2000 can produce enough Carbon Monoxide in the cabin to kill an adult within 2-3 hours, expect some follow up questions. I wasn't challenging you as much as I was asking for more imformation about your sources, because the claim seems pretty hard to believe, and your orginal post was fairly vague.
