Mapman,

How did you like the SP9000s? I've got a set mounted on SSR GT1s, waiting for the spring to come. Have Michelin Pilot Alpins on the stock wheels for the winter.

How do you like them Rick? I've been hearing a lot of people getting Yoko Guardex and Bridgestone Blizzaks; IMHO Michelin is THE way to go, but have no experience with the Pilot Alpins, only Arctic Alpins.

Rick: The SP9000s were pretty good, but this is not from experience with the Stook. The 9000s were excellent in the rain, and adequate to good on dry pavement.

GR8: I'm running Pilot Alpins right now. For winter tires they are quite good, though I haven't even broken this set in yet.

Scot: I wanna see some tires mounted on that hot green rim you have.

What part of Central PA are you? I have a bro in Wellsboro.

Why would it be different, winter tires aside?

I never push it on winter tires, but I haven't noticed anything bad yet.

GR8-S2K,

My first impressions of the Alpins are quite good, but you have to know that I haven't put more than 100 miles on them. I drove them on a real challenging twisty road and the handling, I thought, was quite good. the Tire Rack folks recommended them for this reason.
