Or what ever your name is.

I was following a bunch of slow traffic through the Caldecott tunnel this morning around 5:45am. Right after the tunnel I got past the slow stuff (a sixty something Dodge Pickup holding everone up in the left lane) and had four lanes wide open for about a quarter mile!

I kind of took off with a smile on my face! Then along side a motorcycle pulls up and it's a CHP! I look at my speedometer and I'm only doing 84!

Anyway, we both slow down to sub 65 for about an eighth mile or so and then he just goes on down the road...

Made my day!

There used to be an Officer Bob that would frequently write the editor at Car & Driver. Is (was) that you or are you just using the same name?

Talk about the long arm of the law. Little bit outside your jurisdiction there, Bob? It's nice to know that you inflict arbitrary miscarriages on both justice and your wife equally.

Hey Dave, you don't have anything to worry about from Officer Bob's idle threats. He's a pansy. He keeps threatening to take my arse to jail when we invade Asheville. HA!

Plus he drives around with the little brown dog/rat kind of thing...yea, I'm afraid. See how I'm shivering, Officer Bob? And that goes for your little nefarious creature, Officer Evil Pockets!

Yeah, Officer Bob really needs a Bassett Hound named "Flash" to complete the picture...

Hey Dave,

Sounds like you used up your "Mulligan" for this year anyway!
