Thanks guys... yeah, I know I could wet sand most of it out (except the big scratches) but I also have to deal with the popped lens which requires opening the tail light up and snapping it back into place...

Either way, neither of the tasks is what I paid or signed up for...

I'll give the seller another chance to resolve this before I provide his name. He is trying to unload other stuff on this forum and I think others should be aware of his selling + shipping methods.

BTW, I did see a picture that he posted of the lights but I wouldn't be able to see the scratches from the picture he posted in his for sale thread. I did ask return them and for a reimbursement... his response was:

Hi Keith,

First the lights were in perfect condition as you saw on the pics before buying them. they were on my s2k. about the white paint that can be as my rear bumper was repainted a couple of months ago.

second I don't understand how you mean poorly packed as I wraped the lights with plastic and filled the whole box with foam so they could not move during shipping.

So if the lights arrived in the condition you told me is because they were abused during shipping and I cannot take responsibility of that.

I cannot accept the lights back as I shipped them in perfect condition.
The price that you bought the lights was $100 shipped that is a veryy very cheap price.
You understand that buying things on s2ki is at your own risk, same thing could happpend to me.

What I can do for you is, if you need some other parts I will see if I can help you with that.

It really doesn't matter how much I paid...the fact is I didn't get what I paid for.

seller is bs. There is no way the bigger scratches could've happened from shipping.

Seller is in the wrong! Put his name out already before someone else has to deal with him. I sure as hell wont buy anything from him if this doesn't get resolved.

that's ridiculous, ask for partial refund that you are happy with... Personally, I would just return that POS and get the money back...

I hate people who lies about the condition of the goods they are selling...

yea that sucks that he sold you those, but get out some car polish/scratch remover/Zaino Z5 and go to town on those. The scratches should disappear (maybe a little wetsanding is needed as well) but the overspray/lense pop off i don't know what you can do about that.

wait wait...
you only paid $100 for those? Did you actually think you were getting PERFECT condition lights for $100? yes, he's in the wrong for quoting them as perfet, but as a buyer you need to know when something sounds too good to be true

This is getting more and more common. I have been very wary of buying "perfect condition" items on here because I usually receive them with damage. Hopefully this all works out for you! I have dealt with some sellers in the past who were nothing short of perfect! Did everything they could to help me when the package came in damaged. If you ever get to a chance to deal with Memphis_S2K, A+++ SELLER! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

You got screwed. The seller is wrong in saying the damage was due to abuse when shipping. All packages get abused when shipping...everyone knows that. That's why you package stuff well, which this seller obviously did not.

Are you sure there's no way to fix the lens? I'm not familiar with how the assembly looks from the back, but can you rig somthing to hook onto the clip and pull it back into place? If not, then you'll have to take the assembly apart...but it's not completely useless. Because of that, I'd say $50 off is a little much. I'd say it's worth more like 1/3 off the paid price, plus the value of a lesson learned in doing business online.

Good luck bro.
