So what's the status of the refunds? I registered for both days of track time (thanx krazik!!) with the money I would have spent on the Sheraton, so I need the refund ASAP.

I'm sorry I am not able to help the club by going up to the Sheraton for the watered-down festivities, but my funds are all spoken for and I made other plans for the weekend. I'm just really hopeful that the bozos at the Sheraton don't try to kill S2KCA.

BTW, I'm totally impressed with the way you've handled them so far, and if they do sue, I say we make arrangements for a NorCal fun-run to go to the Sacto hotel to protest and PICKET THEIR ASSES!!!

Also, I meant to mention earlier in this thread that while the offers of a cash contribution are sincerely appreciated. But it's a do or die situation pretty much and the obligation is far larger than what could be ameliorated by charitible donations, yet the willingness is great to see, thanks!

I wrote the checks last night and mailed them all out today. I didn't have time to email everyone about that yet, but I will do that tonight.

Also, no word from the hotel today. I am waiting on them to get back to me so we can schedule a conference call with the GM. I feel like I'm being called to the principal's office, something that happened a lot as a kid, so it's a very familiar feeling.

Station, looks like things are coming together for the event. Blair and EGH went above and beyond the call of duty for us, glad to see that hasn't changed. I haven't heard back from Comptech and I'll talk to Scott at King tomorrow. I'm quite sure their cars will be there, but I will confirm this tomorrow and let everyone know.

 

Just to clarify...by "him" I meant Blair, not Scott. Sorry for the confusion, but no, I won't complain if you call Scott, too.
