hmm .. as a matter of fact .. there was some ticking noise when i started the car .. i wasn't too sure what that ticking noise was .. but it sounded like injector ticks .. but im not 100% sure

but overall .. the car seems very good and the panels all lined up and the bolts that holds the body panels are all untouched and under the car, there was no overspray

and also ... looking at the exhaust tips .. im not sure if the s2k runs rich or not .. but there was alot of black residue on the tip ..

Check wet and dry compression and run a leakdown test.

Sooty exhaust tips are quite normal, but soot on the bumper is a warning sign.

If you have found the car you want to buy and have already agreed on a price, look the car over again and be determined to find something wrong. Nothings perfect and there is probably a wheel or two that has a little curb rash. Tell the dealer he should take a couple of hundred off so you can get this fixed. Won't hurt to ask.

well, those things are all being consider as bargining tools .. but i just need to know about the s2k specific defects, known issues and other s2k things to look out for

Best advice- Take the car to a mech and get a pros opinion.

also if you get an 02-up you will get a glass window in the top instead of plastic...the plastic ones tend to be not as clear

yeah .. i was reading about all that on the 02 .. some has glass and some doesn't .. why is that ? was there an early and late 2002 models ?
