thinking about a '00 s2000

I purchased a used 2000 S2000 about 6 weeks ago. So far, I've had no problems and I love the car.
I have thought about the extended warranty, even though I believe that generally they're not a good deal for the consumer. I may go ahead and buy it this time, since the car will be out of factory warranty soon (I don't even know when it was first titled), but I haven't decided yet.
Mine only had 3000 miles on it, so saving $4000+ off the sticker for a new one sounded like a good deal at the time. If it comes down to it, I can buy quite a few parts for that money, and I kept a '94 Integra to drive in the winter, to Lowe's, etc. so if my car is apart in my garage while I fix it it won't be a disaster.
Buying a used S2000 bothered me a bit, because I didn't know how it had been treated during the break-in period. but so far it looks like I may luck out. If I were going to pay new car price for one, I would insist on one that hadn't been test-driven. The salespersons I've seen make sure to get into VTEC for every demo ride.

I test drove a used black 2000 S2K a few days ago. It had 32k miles in only 1.5yrs of ownership. They were asking $26,995. Appearance-wise, car was in good shape...no scratches or major dings. What bugged me was:
1. The clutch seemed to be just hanging on...the catch point is WAY up towards the top. Is this normal??
2. The previous owner slapped on some funky tires: F: Yoko A032 205/55ZR16 R: Yoko 225/50ZR16 thread was in good shape but with wear rating of the A032s at 60 dont' think they'll last that long.
I asked for the dealer to replace the clutch and slap on OEM tires. They agreed to the clutch and agreed to give me $300 credit for the tires. Everything is set then when I came in to sign I remembered to ask for the clutch replacement to be put in writing, then all of a sudden they say they can't do it. Unbelievable. Anyhow I am ranting off topic.
I also found a silver 2000 with 10K miles for $29K. Just some reference points for ya.
