Are you still financing your G? If you are, then do some calculations, because you are either going to owe more (pay more monthly) or it will be the same when you trade in your car. A lot of people may say "you won't regret it" but that's all subjective. You're not them and they're not you. So, test drive one and come back and tell us what you think/feel after.

i've driven the same car you have and also a g37s 6mt and neither cars i found as fun to drive as the S, but I'm a little biased. test drive one and see if you like it. also the 06 for 16k is fair price for private but i'd be a little skeptical if it was from a dealer.

either way i hope you make the change.

What do you mean skeptical if it was a dealer?? Because it is a dealer.

And yes I am financing my G right now and I will owe when I return so if the car cost me less then 17K I will be paying less monthly.

I bought from a dealership, I was very satisfied with the experience...minus the two hours (literally) of haggling. Walk in with a number and dont go over it and you'll have no regrets.

Thank you this should help what else made you pick the S over the G???
for me, it was the fun-to-dollar ratio (if any of you figure out how to quantify this, let me know ). the current gen g35 is a nice car, but i didn't want to pay for it when i can have a more raw sports car for half the price. that, and it allowed me to keep my DD if i shrank my budget.

it just made more sense at the end of the day: more familiar with hondas so i can fix or mod the S, i didnt need all the extra features of the G, convertible for the nicer days in north texas, and keeping my DD

that and i've always wanted an S since the day they went into production.

Can you drive a manual transmission proficiently? It will help you actually be able to gauge the performance and feel of the car if you do not have to think about the clutch.....something to think about if you cant....would hate for that to be your only set back
