Default Those with the Modifry dash bracket, get in here! (Install/review on Pg. 2)

I am really wanting to find a solid mounting solution for my phone. I am seeing it as a great alternative to cutting my dash for a double din or the like when my phone can essentially do the same thing.

I see the bracket on the website and the forums...but how are the nav/phones being secured to the bracket? The bracket just appears to have holes in it....

Pictures are a huge plus. I have an IPhone 6 for what it's worth. Just want a solid mounting solution.

You would have to buy a phone holder separately.
I bought this one separately from there website.

Under tough driving, does it hold it very securely?

I have a case on my IPhone.

I guess the main question I have is if you like the mounting solution or not...if the bare bracket or bracket and phone holder bother you.

My S2000 is a weekend car but there are times when I wish my phone was more easily accessible (for music, navigation, etc.).

Part of me thinks that I will not like it since my phone is somewhat large and the view of the bracket and case might be a turn off.

If it works solidly, then I guess I will make it work. I know I can always remove it if I don't like it.

Yeah it's a little confusing on the site but you have to buy the bracket and the phone holder. I bought the radio bracket combo and really like it. I have no complaints. Here's a pic. I don't have a digital camera so I only have iPhone pics so the phone is not in the holder. Hope this helps!

I have a 6+ and I like the look of it mounted. But to each its own.

And yes, it securely holds it for me.

I installed the modifry adjustable holder a few weeks back when I swapped out the head unit for alpine. Holds phone securely and keeps it in easy reach. Great for using navigation and can rotate horizontal if needed. Does not interfere with radio door. Since my new head unit has a nice display I was looking to keep door open more while driving. Unfortunately as others complained it hit my knee. I solved this problem when I had the radio bezel off. I was able to put a screw in the hinge from behind. Now the radio door only opens 3/4 the and stops. Gives full access to radio and display.

i just buy windshield suction mounts that are phone specific... never had an issue. typically when i get a new phone they will throw in a auto bundle heavely discounted. iirc i paid $30or so for the past few phones. that includes a heavey duty car mount, and car charger. since a auto charger cost 25 or so its a good deal. i have lways had good luck with these type of mounts

For those using the radio mounted bracket, does it interfere with passenger leg room? My wife is a passenger when we go drive on weekends and I wouldn't want something too obtrusive...

I have the dash mount bracket with the tilt and turn adapter and universal phone holder. I went this route mostly because of the location: it puts the phone at the perfect height for nav and whatnot so you don't have to look down, and doesn't interfere with outward vision like a dash or windshield mount can. Adding the fact that it doesn't interfere with passenger space made it the logical choice for me.

Also, I use my phone for data acquisition when autoxing so I can attest that it's secure. I have the Galaxy S5 which isn't a small phone and the holder still has plenty of room. It could fit my phone with a case just fine.
