I looked at the Modfry mount but it was ugly there, a pain to install and remove.

I like this option, can you tell me which mount you used ? There seem to be several seat rail mounts of different lengths.

I just purchased the Radio Bracket combo and installed it today. So far it works great, i have an iPhone4 and the universal holder it comes with holds it very snug and does not come loose at all. The bracket itself is kind of on the flimsy side, meaning if you're going over rough roads it will wiggle a bit. Also the radio door does not hit the mount, nor does the shifter, but it kind of gets in the way when letting the e-brake down which really isnt an issue. Here is a quick video to show it does not hit the radio door

I bought the Modifry Dash mount, with a ProClip cell phone holder. They marry up quite nicely. My iPhone 6s Plus is secure and can pivot as needed for navigation. It's now making me consider not frenching a Nexus 7 into my dash for Apple Car Play. This works just a well and a fraction of the cost and cellular service!

I wonder if that form fit foam piece Modifry was working on for the dash bracket will be released soon, so we can have less vibration when the phone is in the mount.

Old bump I know but this post is the 1st one that shows up when searching for iPhone holder alternatives using the modifry bracket.

After reading thru all the posts I noticed none of the options fit the bill for me...

I wanted something that would not stick out too much or look bulky and was VSM compatible ... So I went on Amazon and ordered a arkon mount.
Arkon VSM Adapter Kit for iPhone 6S 6 Plus iPhone 6S 6 5S with Drill Base for Car Installation Retail Black https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00SZHIEVC..._d4DYxb4CRRPQJ

I must say that I am very very pleased with the purchase! It has a built in clip on the side to hold your charge cable which if removed exposes a standard tripod/camera mount threads for using your iPhone to capture video on modify's windscreen mount.

I'm pretty impressed and satisfied with it's construction and features.

Here it is installed

I believe that is what I will be getting when I upgrade my phone. Thanks for the heads-up!

My attachment to the modifry dash mount was getting old after years of use and I just installed this piece today for my Galaxy Note. Excellent build quality and I love that it allows me flexibility to position the phone differently but securely each time. Definitely recommend!
