Can you add pictures of yours? I was guessing you could shift up or down a little but with the screw into the dash bracket I guess that may not be the case...

By the way, here is the link to the X-Grip on Amazon... Nearly 1,000 reviewers with an average rating of 4.5 stars...

http://www.amazon.com/Cradle-Holder-...keywords=x-ram

If you are interested in this one, you'll need to buy 3 things:

1) X-Grip itself
2) Ball joint for mounting to the Modifry bracket
3) Arm to attach #1 to #2... I bought the 3-inch arm, which I think is perfect

I'm a big fan... Good mounting location with good visibility, securely attached, reasonably "light" looking when you have the phone in the X-Grip (all you see is the four little rubber bumpers).

I just use a vent mount similar to the Kenu Airframe. Works great. Wire is tucked under the radio door and connected to my headunit.

I've got the Kenu Airframe for my other car... I tried using it on my S2000, and the vents don't seem to want to hold my phone up very well... Also, my other car has fixed vents (they aren't all hinged)... I had the misfortune of breaking some hinged vents on another car am quite fearful of damaging the hinged vents on my S2000... So I have decided not to use my Kenu Airframe on my S2000...

Great product though... I love it for my other car...

I don't have modifry dash bracket but I recently bought something called breffo.. go to their website and see for yourself. I am not sure if I can explain correctly. I just stick it in to whatever air vent on the car and mold the legs to fit my phone or whatever that I need it to hold. It's very firm and easy to use.. I also like the fact that I can always change the shape to fit different things without much hassle. Worked for me.

That Akron mount looks pretty neat. Does the bottom part interfere with a charger?
Not at all, either with the mobile or the nav unit. BTW you can get different holders that fit that double "T" universal mount. Tablets, smaller phones, whatever. That way if you switch devices or use several (my wife likes her iPad on it when driving)-with T Mobile mobile hotspot on her/mine mobile we have unlimited internet access anywhere.

The mount(s) unhook in a second to stuff under the seat, put in the truck, or take with you.

i like the idea of solid mounting but do any of these mounts put the phone high enough to see out the windshield? 90% of the time my phone hits a holder in the car is for harrys lap timer with video. so i use the phones camera and it overlays the data for my laps on the videos. hence why i use a suction cup windshield mount. but the one for my note3 vibrates(maybe its just because big phone) more than previou mounts. i'd love something less shackey.

i have my sun visors removed and was thinking to make some sort of bracket that would utilize that bolt hole.

Did you see my earlier post? My current X-Grip solution positions my phone just above the dashboard. Low enough to be convenient and usable. High enough that some of your peripheral vision is on the road instead of your floormats... Photos are provided in my previous post for you to check out...

I am quite satisfied with what I ended up with...

I have the modifry dash bracket with one of the akron phone mounts for my S3. I like it a lot. I'll post a pic of it later when I get home.
