I've got the spoon knock-off with a sprint air filter. Easy to install and fits great (I had to adjust the hood a little bit). I got because it was cheaper than the spoon snorkel. I can't tell if there is any real performance gains but it looks great.

now since their is not a real noticable gain w/ the spoon, does the comptech cai offer a noticable gain? im just wondering. i also think the spoon looks the best, and it has good functionality.

1. I wanted to get cooler air to the airbox. As an added bonus it looks great.

2. With the increased amount of grit and dirt that makes its way into the airbox with the duct, I am hesistant to run a filter which is more "free flowing" than the OEM. Stock for me.

3. I bought it in hopes that it will keep the intake temps a little cooler and prevent the ECU from retarding timing when it gets hot. Don't buy this duct if you're expecting horsepower gains over stock.

4. I would do it again.

5. I was looking at the Mugen as well but decided against it because I didn't want to cut the hood, I wanted to retain the stock airbox, and ultimately I couldn't justify the pricetag.

I have a Spoon knockoff. I like the throttle response. You don't gain as much as you don't lose. You will notice this on hot days in stop and go traffic. Less bogging. I did not want to worry about hydrolock either. You will feel gains at speed especially on windy days. I would do it again. I also have a JR filter.

I've got the snorkle intake for all the same reasons as everyone else.

I've also installed a carbon fiber radiator plate which the snorkle neatly fits in to, giving it continuity of CF. It looks great.

No it wont. This thread would be more useful to future searchers if you spelled snorkel correctly.
