For those with stock Honda battery....
The little window on my battery always indicates that it needs charged. It shows red in the middle. I can fully charge it and it will start up fine, but the indicator doesn't change.
Just curious if anyone's on here shows blue like it's supposed to? There is a little menu on the battery itself that tells what the colors mean.
Mine keeps dying every 4 days when it sits. I think it might be damaged since I left the door open more than a few time in the past and had a dead car....
S2000 owners. Can you check you car and see if your battery windows shows blue in the center?
EDIT:
Also, when I hooked up my spare tire sub, I just ran the power wire sratight from the battery to sub and fused it in the trunk. BUT, this means the built-in sub amp it still getting some power when my car is off. I was told it wouldn't draw anymore that an alarm LED. I just disconnected the power wire and will sell if it's dead in 4 more days.

Certainly sounds like a new batt is in order. However, I also kept thinking my batt needed charged (this long winter is killing my s2k fun) when I looked at the batt charge indicator. The red dot in the mid is what you mean right? Well I found that unless you shine a light down the clear part, it allmost allways looks like a red dot and no blue...but when you add some light the blue shows up indicating the batt is charged.
I have no idea if this means anything at all but thought I'd throw it in the mix
Also the battery offered by Krazik's site (can't remember the name) isn't too bad of a price and save some weight too

Not odd at all! My02 was taken to the dealer this past summer because of poor starts relating to the battery. I also noticed the red indicator is on solid. The goofs at the Honda dealership said this is normal and don't pay any attention to the indicator as it is always wrong. They said to put it on a trickle charge and basically go away. I will probably purchase a new battery this summer. Seems odd that my battery lasted only one season without and major drain to it. Heck, I only have 5K miles on that battery. Not worth my time to debate over a $60 item and spend a couple trips and time at the dealer. I'll wait for something worth the battle to argue over. Perhaps there were intermittent bad batteries built.
You need a new battery... I left the car in the garage at home for 3 weeks over Christmas and New Years due to a trip to Korea. Upon my return, I did a grief look through and pushed the red button and it fired right to life... You really do need a new battery...
Also, a bit of advise. Please fuse at the battery terminal... If your amp is fused, put a inline fuse at the battery and none in the rear... If you amp is not fused, put one at the battery and one just before the amp.. It is a safety precaustion... This is because if you have a short at the battery, it will carry all the way to your trunk before the other fuse cuts off the spike... A very good practice to avoid having your whole car catch on electrical fire due...

Yes, you need a new battery, just like I did last Thursday, when I took my car out of hibernation for a nice 1/2 hour romp. The old battery wouldn't take a charge anymore after being rundown frequently by the original owner. I bought a Douglas battery for $50, and it's got 480 CCAs. Turns over the engine much faster than the old one did in the fall!
