Default For Those Who Barely VTEC

Driving home the other day, I was whimsically thinking how little I go into VTEC range. I usually shift around 3000RPM, sometimes a little higher around 4000RPM, but rarely (and I do mean rarely) get up there in the rev range.

Yes, I know its fun but I just rarely do it.

So, for those who are like me, I'm curious. Chime in with your .02.

You need to read the owner's manual more carefully. Honda recommends a dosage of VTEC for the S2000 at least once every 50km. Did you not see that? j/k

VTEC just gives you this surge of adrenaline ... it's amazing. I VTEC.

Come on, dude. at least go 5K, 6K, 7K! Why would you drive the car in a range where it feels like an older civic?

I'm doing a MPG goal right now. So far I got my first 25mpg, before it all 23 mpg and no higher. I'm more in neutral driving now then ever to achieve 25mpg. I do rarely VTEC because I see no point in doing it when there is traffic every where here in socal.

I'll probably VTEC when I feel down or something. But I also rarely drive my car too because I do have another car. So sometime I drive the S and rarely VTEC.

PS. Seriously, does the Manual say to VTEC once every 50km???

Man, you are WEAK. Why don't you get rid of the S2000 and get a Prius. Why did you buy it in the first place? Jesus and I do know, we are curious to know.

Just make sure you warm it up properly and let it cool down properly if you are doing spirited driving. These engines will last a LOOONNNGGG time if you maintain them properly

What do you want ppl to chime in with? Are you just looking to see how many ppl stay out of vtec? With my car being a DD I only hit VTEC a few times a week. When I am taking a twisty top down enjoyment cruise it is pretty much constant VTEC.
