For those who park outside...
Yes I park outside. And yes I use a car cover, but not a Honda OEM cover. I got a NOAH CoverCraft cover from an ebay company (carstuff4sale) and I love it. Genuine covercraft so it also has mirror and antenna pockets. Good price...177 shipped including a bag and cable & lock.
I like NOAH better than WeatherShield. WeatherShield probably offers slightly better protection in rain and folds up much more compact but it is harder to handle in a breeze then the heavier NOAH covers. (I've had both in the past.)
Other car cover facts:
A custom cover that fits properly and is made of high quality materials will not scratch the paint as long as you don't try to keep it on in gale force winds and as long as you keep it reasonably clean. (You can wash NOAH covers in a commercial washer or on the car.)
NEVER use a cover that is not made for your model car unless it is an old beater with crap paint (and then why would you want to bother with a cover anyway.) A cover that doesn't fit properly will beat on the car's finish.
No quality car cover is waterproof. Car covers have to breath and although they may be moisture resistant, they won't keep the car completely dry in rain. But they will filter a lot of pollutants out of the rain.
I can install or remove my car cover in less than three minutes from bag to car or back...another minute if I decide to install the locking cable.
