Default For those of you with mods quick ????'s

I was wondering if any of the dealers you take your cars to give you a hard time because you have other stuff on it. I know that it is against the law to void the warranty and stuff be dealers have been known to do so. I am talking about intake, exhaust, header, lowering springs, X-brace, etc..... that kind of stuff. Thanks in advance.

If you're going in for a warranty fix, and they can attribute the breakage to the mod, then you may have a fight. For example: A K & N filter is NOT a problem, nor is a cat back exhaust. However, a supercharger IS a problem. Lowered suspension MAY be a problem if they can prove that it caused damage to your suspension, steering, etc. Of course, any internal engine mods like cams would not be good for warranty. Headers MAY not be good, either, depends on the dealer's perception of the problem.

Eventually when I get it in a few months I am going to want to make it different from other S2K's. I have already started a list of mods that range from shift boot and knob sock to exhaust and X-brace and a lot inbetween.

Thanks

My dealer has been cool with my mods, (replaced MAP sensor already) Try to develop a rapport with your dealer.

I am planning of getting to know the service writers and such and taking my car in their for oil changes and stuff and hopefully getting in good with a couple of them. I might have to take them to lunch or buy them dinner or a 6 pack. Almost whatever it takes.
