-Just as a side note, I did not bring this topic up to hurt anyone's business. Let me just say that I still have the grill on and hope that whatever tests run will show up to be normal--the car looks great with it on. It'd be hard to go back to stock.

-You know that little scoop open in front of the intake box? How does it function? Where does it gets its airflow? From the gap where the grill goes? It looks like it's blocked off from anything by the hood.

-It'd be cool if the designer could comment. I wonder if Mr. McCune ran any performance measuring tests.

-Bieg and to anyone else ticked off at him... let's not make this one another one. We're all tired of it. I want the insights, not personal attacks.

Thanks, guys.

Well I'll be damned. I economized on my purchase by getting both the same color -- this way I can use the same touch-up paint (Silverstone Metallic).

Colin, this was what I was afraid of. I drove the car around again today. Initially, for the first 10 minutes everything feels fine. However, after warming up even further, the car seems to drag a bit. From the start, the lag in power is noticeable under VTEC. Like when starting from a stop, I have to give it more gas to get the car going or else I bog.

I am going to remove my grill for now. The maker of the grill will be testing out the grill by using more reliable methods than the butt test.

Well, I doubt very much that at low speed it makes any difference. not because of airflow! just my 2/cents as they say..

I think vivid imagination is at work here. I've driven a couple of thousand miles in all kinds of conditions with this grill on, including lots of time in V-tec, and I've noticed absolutely no difference. I had it on in Asheville on the Dragon and other drives had no problem keeping up with people who didn't have the grill on, and I spent some time with some pretty skilled drivers.
