last night i went to another member's house to pick up a Seibon MG hood. we tried to get it to fit for 2.5 hours, but in the end it was always perfectly lined up with the right side being raised in the middle so that you could slightly see inside the engine bay. i ended up not buying the hood. does anyone have any tips for adjusting an aftermarket hood to fit perfectly??
we played around with the bolts that hold the hinges to the hood, the bolts that hold the hinges to the car, and the hood latch. anything else we should have done?
There are rubber stoppers or whatever that you can turn to adjust them higher or lower located on the shock tower. Try turning it all the way down to see if that makes a difference.

it wasn't touching either rubber stopper at all. that was the first thing i tried lol
It's a combination of the hood hinges to the hood, hood hinges to the car, hood bumper stops, hood latch ring and hood latch assembly on the car.
It takes some time and patience, but you can get it perfectly lined up.
Although I'm no longer a supporter of Seibon products... their trunks and hoods can be made to fit properly. It's the clear coat/gel that I have issues with in regards to their quality.
Note: For the hood, I had to take the hood latch ring off the hood and dremel the holes to the right/left making the holes more oblong so could also adjust the placement of the latch ring on the hood which was the last little bit of adjustment it needed.

thanks. we also wanted to adjust the hood latch ring (part that is attached to the hood itself) but there was no play in it. since i hadn't already bought the hood from him, neither of us wanted to go ahead and drill out those holes to get it to move around. we just played around with the hinge to the hood, hinge to the car, and hood latch assembly.
