What I read at the tirerack web site suggested that the S02 Pole Positions have a little better wet handling than the S02's and apparently hold their tread longer than S02's?
But the harder rubber means they'll score lower on the skid pad. I'm sure if you search you'll find someones review of the Pole Positions compared to the S02's.
I also like the look of the Michelin Sport. You can check those out on the tirerack site too. I think there was a recent thread about them also...
