My first set of front tires got more wear on the inside than the outside because the car needed an alignment. It has always been driven through plenty of turns at high speed.

I get it realigned now whenever I put new tires on it. It wears the tires evenly when it is aligned correctly.

Yes, allignment is key. I have an aggressive street allignment with 17 inch rims dropped on KG/MM race. I haven't noticed any uneven tire ware yet and I drive my car daily.

I've had tires blow on a past car with crappy allignment and I don't wish that on anybody. Bent two of my rims.

I stand corrected. However, we are BOTH wrong. I was basing my reply on my personal experience and what I'd read in other tire wear threads -- all of which delt with rear wear. On my car it's the right rear that first showed wear. I just did a search using "tire wear" and was surprised to see there are numerous threads for inside wear on both rears and fronts. My fronts show no wear at all with 11,000 miles. So I've learned something. There are some threads that speculate the inside right rear wear is due to the owner's launching the car and inturn the diff applying force to the right rear wheel first. That may be how the diff works, I don't know for sure, but I can honestly say I've never launched the car from a standstill. I just don't believe the drive train can withstand that over a prolonged period of time.

So, the bottom line is -- depending on your car, your driving style, your air pressure, your alignment, or whatever -- in some cases the fronts wear first and for others the rears wear first but both seem more likely to wear on the inside than the outside.
