Reference the mounting of the side of the covers "into the window crack," could you give a little more explanation of this. Is any removal or alternation of the window mechanism contemplated? Also, would a plastic or vinyl zipper work and avoid the concerns expressed regarding scratching?

TIA

Basically, an 'L' shaped bracket will be sewn onto the cover. This bracket will anchor down in the window channel. There is no need for any modification to anything in the S2K.

I thought of the plastic zipper idea, but the quality of it is less than I'd want to put on the cover. I can't imagine it lasting through years of use. The zipper would definitely have to be heavy duty.

Hinged glass.....couldn't get it to work. This was too true after observing that crease in the top is different for all owners.

This is why I was going with the "replaceable" window idea. Replacements will come in a package of three. You swap one in for the one you take out, voila, clear rear window. With the one you swapped out, you can either toss it, clean it, or recycle it. If you're in the habit of tossing, you will eventually end up buying another replacement package.
