Tonneau cover update: (another long post).
What he said.
Seriously, I had a good ol' TR3A that came w/ a removable top AND a canvas tonneau cover. The top was a major pain to take down or put up so often I drove w/o the top installed. I stored it in the trunk. Anyway, I always loved the way the car looked w/ it on and it was handy to be able to zip it up when I parked and not worry about rain, prying eyes, etc.
In my TR3, the tonneau eyelets hooked on posts on the dash, on the outsides of the doors, and around the rear of the cockpit. There was a pouch into which the top half of the steering wheel fit. The car had no roll bars and the seat backs were low enough not to need a pouch for them.

Well let's look at it this way.

What's funny and completely coincidental is that I've been clearing out a lot of parts out of my garage and basement recently. I found some of the preliminary templates for this project that I made.
The only thing I don't have and would have to really jog my memory on is the mounting hardware that was designed.
There were two prototypes made, the second one worked wonderfully. Unfortunately, the upholster that I used to make these, put the project on the side because their business picked up. Once they got a chance to get around to it, they had misplaced everything and could find nothing; or so the story I was told.
If there's interest, I know someone local and a long time owner that I can work with to get this project back up and running.
