Default Too Dangerous?

Not to dangerous. If it were a 0-60 in 4 seconds car, an STi, a 'Vette, an AMG or such, I'd say yes. You haven't developed the "car-instincts" to react that quickly before going out of control (yet). This is a 0-60 in 6 second car, has more traction than power, and is small enough that if you do something really stupid, you probably don't kill anyone else. Go for it.

This is incredibly dumb.

Do you want to be linked to people that have killed other people in economy cars, miatas, etc?

What? I wrote "don't kill anyone". It's solid advice. Your idea of dumb is just fine with me, thanks!

I post MY honest OPINION and get immediately flamed by a 1000+ post--forum drama queen. Why am I not surprised?

I'm not a drama queen.

You stated small cars "probably don't kill anyone."

That's demonstrably false, with facts.

You know, those things that will always be of more significance than opinions,

You're still going to crash those cars, you're just going to be going much faster when you do and probably pointing forward, instead of backwards.

If this is flaming then you really need to grow some thicker skin if you want to post opinions on the internet.

The S2000 is a small car so obviously it can be dangerous. It's more ideal to own one as a "Sunday car" or just not as a daily driver.

The fact that it's a convertible makes it less safe because the roof isn't as stable obviously (if it's even up) but when the top is down it's much easier to change lanes and see what's around you.

Also, blind spots are crazy bad with the top up.

Certainly very fast cars can get you in trouble very quickly. But I would argue an S is actually more dangerous in the hands of a new driver than most of those other faster cars listed. Not because of how quickly it reacts to pressing the pedal, but how quickly it reacts to turning the wheel.

How reactive, and how nuetral this car handles is beyond most of those others listed as too dangerous. That is what should give a new driver caution. Not its raw power.
