There was a discussion on this board about how reducing weight is the most efficient/cost effective way to increase speed on the stook. With that in mind, how much weight have you added with the plethora of aftermarket gear discussed on this board?

I know I'm probably just being anal seeing that most of the accessories are extremely light, but I'm doing this to illustrate a point

Here are some rough numbers for my stook (I'm guessing on most of these):
Rick's Console Cover: +.5
Titanium shifter: +1
Muz Mat: +1
Rick's Aero Screen: +.5
3 Piece floor matts: +2
Spoon X-Brace: +10
Spoon STB: +7
Various chrome engine parts: +5
Nuespeed Exhaust: -10
MB Quart's: +5
Amp: +10
Sub box: +20
Removed spare: -10
Rear Spoiler: +10
Front Chin spoiler: +7
Side Strakes: +5

This equals about 63 added pounds for me, if you believe my uneducated estimations.

I'm guessing that you may be a bit high, but you've made a very good point.

This car is quick enough for my taste and the extra weight for these things provides, IMHO, a measure of additional value that is worth whatever small performance losses may result from the extra pounds.

My son, the smartass, commented that my Mugen header may give me enough torque to cancel out the weight I have gained in the past several months. He does have a point.. if I could get my weight down to what it was when I first started driving it should be worth at least 3 HP. My few aftermarket adds and the stuff I sometimes leave in the trunk probably consume another 2 HP. Wow, how easily it is squandered.. I don
