But to stay on topic if anyone cares anymore I gained 4whp when I put the lid back on at the dyno. OEM intake > all

^^ Don't forget OEM intake + snorkel > all. Minus the road kill and small children stuck in the pipe though

good topic to bring back since i recently found out that taking the cover off will lose power, but it sounds SO much better. I think i may need to put it back on.

So, remove top (-4 hp), add K&N filter (+4 hp), lose nothing, gain sound.

And ya, like what Billman said, take the cover off and go through a tunnel @ 9 grand ... definitely puts a smile on your face

Already got the K&N filter, sound isnt important to me anyways, I just get waaaay too much heat soak down here in FL without the air box lid that the filter doesnt make up for the bog I get off the line.

If all I wanted was sound I would get the K&N fipk, I heard the sound is awesome and I havent really heard anything negative about it. Still hasnt proven itself to be worth the money though no intake has.
