As several others have said
- I took the tool tray out of the trunk and put all those tools in a cloth wrap and they now reside inside the spare wheel area
- I carry no other spare tools, I do have my cell and my AAA card

Along with the standard OEM equipment (spare and tools) the only "options" in my trunk are glass cleaner, Menzerna detail spray and some micro-fiber towels.

S2000 Trunk Tool Inventory (all carried inside spare tire recess area)

Inside wife's old leather purse: jack base. Inside wifes old lap purse: jack handle, lug wrench, tow bolt, small Robo grip, small power grip, small flash light & fresh batteries, a couple pens & tool wrap. Inside tool wrap: open/closed end: 9 to 19MM, box off set: 10 to 15MM, and 3/8", 9/16". Loose items: one qt Mobil One, funnel, rag, RainX, suntan lotion, two micro cloths.

With the wrapping, etc. there's not a sound from these tools.

PS: I also print out the above inventory on heavy paper, trim it up, and insert it inside the center recess in the trunk lid. I hold in place with a rubber magnet. That saves me from trying to remember what I have in there or taking it out to look.

I carry a triple A card in my wallet instead. It is portable and works in all cars.
