I'd worry about the random jealous idiot that might dump something like a fast food soft drink or something inside. So many people hate for anybody to have a nice car, thus the problems with people keying cars, eggs, etc. I'm not so worried about somebody stealing anything because I never leave it parked in public for long. If I take it shopping, I'm in and out on the short trip. I just don't want to have to clean up a huge mess that only took the fool 2 seconds to drop into the car.

I only leave my top down when I know I wont be long. Given that, it shouldnt be hot outside because my behind hates sitting on hot leather. The area is safe. I'm not under a tree and etc.

I've seen people at the park and malls with their tops down. I wouldnt do that mainly because I dont want birds pooping in there. Plus, who knows when that punk will walk right on by and do something.

i don't park with my top down. Ever.

I put my top up as i'm pulling into the space anyway. So it takes 2 seconds to roll up my windows.

Back when I was young. 14ish I was in an amusement park and I ran into some guy's convertable and had my picture taken inside it. I left foot prints all over the place.

... I take that as a reason that I should never park with my top down.

I park with the top down, but only in certain areas. Like at work for example, we have a nice parking structured that security monitors.

I don't know about the rest of you guys, but I like to have th tonneau cover over the top when it is down, so just a simple 2 seconds won't due to put the top up right away!

Just in case you run into someone like you?

I'll leave it down if it is in a nice place or I will only be a few mintues and I'm sure it won't rain. I have an alarm so I'm more worried about haters tossing something inside more than anything else.

I wouldn't worry about seat theives b/c if someone wants them they are going to get them, at least they won't cut the roof in the process. Which reminds me I need to get some locks for those....

I live in a college town, so it is ALWAYS a no-no for me to leave the top down in even the most innocent of situations. Everytime I think about it I imagine someone spitting in my car... don't know why.... but it keeps me in check I guess.

I leave my top down a lot, but usually roll the windows up. Sometimes I raise the top but don't lock it. Depends where I am, really.

It only takes about 6 seconds to close the top.
The whole procedure of closing top, locking latches, raise windows, etc may take 12 seconds?

Only when the car stays in sight I leave the top down (but windows up) and only if I'm out for a minute or so.

Other than that => top up, windows up, doors locked, alarm armed.
