I have a model year 00 S2000. Lately, the top has been hard to close. Looking at metal things on the window shield frame that the convertable top latches to, there are little groves worn in them from the hooks on the latches. Anything I can do about this? I'm out of warranty, but there is a TSB to get hard top striker plates. Do you think getting the ones from a hard top would fix the problem, and would a dealer let me have them at no-cost under the TSB even though I'm out of warranty?

 

TSB work out of warranty is spotty at best. It really depends on the dealer. A competent dealer can get anything warrantied. In incompetent one or one that just doesn't care won't.
