I've never done a replacement myself but what I've seen here in the DIY's, anyone should be able to do it themselves. It takes an experienced installer several hours so allot a few more hours for yourself if you have no experience. The reward beside the satisfaction of doing it yourself could be something else you need that a $1000 would buy.

yes this first time i did it, it took me like maybe 5 hours but now i probably can pull it off in 2 hours
