Well the numbers are in and I'm ready for my new top. I mentioned in previous posts that Honda had agreed to replace my existing 00 top with a similar top which was not acceptable as the new tops have corrected the abrasion problem. Now they will replace it with a new top w/glass window and defroster and I pay the difference between the old top and the new one (couple hundred dollars). They have also agree to fit it to the 00 frame thanks to Clovis's excellent drawing and photo's which I provided to them which saves me the cost of an 02 frame. I'll be paying for labor for the modification of my 00 frame but the dealer may discount some of it. The total out of pocket will be around $1000. I think it's worth it.

I will be posting a full report on the outcome of this replacement. The dealer is Union Park Honda in Wilmington and they have been very cooperative and helpful in this matter so far.
