Wind resistance at 160 is so high you don't have to brake.

Yeah, but if you fit an inexpensive 'Field SFC' Vtec controller (or the APEXi VAFC), this will deactivate the speed limiter.

I've seen 155mph in mine. Didn't seem to take too long to get there.

Cheers,

i *only* ever got 153 indicated on flat, but got 162 on a slight (very slight) bridge just outside of Harrisburg, PA.

Lots of 157's on slight downhills....i musta had a tailwind for the 162......now that i sold the s2000, my typhoon only does 120's

o ya...who the hell knows how accurate the speed is at those speeds.... need GPS to get a real number!

Hey EPFENNIG,

Take 395 down to Carson City, take a cell phone and have a friend (with cell phone) drive the stretch between Washoe City and the last hill to Carson. Then the friend pulls off at the last stop before the hill and watches for troopers. Nothing will catch up to you from behind at that speed unless they are within sight.

Let the friend get in position, then away you go! If the phone rings, SLOW DOWN FAST.

Very long (a couple miles), flat smooth stretch of road. My parents live in Reno and I took one of their cars up to 150 on the stretch the same way and was only half way down.

Enjoy!

Not the fastest but 138 with my son in the car down I-85 into Atlanta waving bye-bye to an Eclipse GST. I hope my wife doesn't see this thread.

Since I stay in trouble for driving too fast I guess it really doesn't matter. By the way, my son is 22 and is my source for all the ideas for mods to my S2K.

See avatar. After that pictureI chickened out, but I can see how ya'll describe how long it takes for our cars to pull at high speeds like those.

Also one question for any of ya'll, a while back I was doing 135mph on the freeway with the top down, going slightly uphill. My car didn't seem to pull any harder than that, anybody know why? Does lack of torque make that much difference? I forgot what gear I was in, 5th or 6th

167mph versus an NSX on the way to Vegas. Of ourse this is only an indicated speed. no one knows the "actual Speed"
