OK well my speedo showed 163 so when everybody asks me "How fast ya had 'er?" I say 163. The fastest I KNOW i've gone is 123. as per officer Dewy's radar.

BTW I really think our cars can break 150.

I believe the TX crew has shown us all that 160 (or thereabouts) stock is attainable...Wes? So the speedo's off by 3 mph at that speed, but saying that they can't even break 150? Come on...

Some cars have seen a 170 indicated on the dyno. Thats with the redline flashing.

131 is the fastest I've seen. . .

And that's just fine with me!

Yup, the stock gearing means that, if you can get there, the rev limiter will kick in at around 168 mph. The speedo would likely read significantly (5-10mph) higher.

You're ignoring something we call "drag". Also known as wind resistence. Also known as the thing that prevents this from happening in an actual driving situation.

As discussed hundreds of times before, the stock S2000 can push 145-150 max, top up, on a level surface. Get a good run downhill and 168-170 (redline of 6th gear) is possible. I imagine the comptech SC can push the S2000 to 160.

Regarding the original poster, are you for real? The Supra is no doubt a fast car, but a well prepared Vette can run with a Supra any day. Stock Z06s are rated for 171, stock Viper GTS were rated for 185, the Lingenfelter vette 650 can easily exceed 200, Hennesey has done Vipers capable of well over 200, a Zanardi NSX can go 167 (with only 290 hp) and the comptech powered one can push 180 (give or take). Just a few examples.

And, for the record, you and your friend are both idiots.

I gotta agree with westsidebilly. U start trash talkin a new vette with that kind of horses under the hood and sayin it can't do buisiness with a Supra on the street and I gotta say yoy have some schoolin to do.

according to radar... my speedo at 70 is maybe 1 mph off! that is a whole lot less that the 5-7% I have always believed it to be. Pretty sure my 140 was close enough to 140 to not be exagerating much. I have no problems believing the ones who have claimed 160. I am kind of curious of the age of the 170+ mph, 500+hp Supra driver tho'? also glad he is not running around TX highways.

I have no desire to go that fast on a tx highway... now let me go 140 (instead of 40) on Texas Motor Speedway and then you can sign me up!

I have had the pleasure of experiencing the ride of this Lingenfelter! Very sweet! I can't wait to get some updated pics!

For reference, stock '94 RX-7 tops out at 159 MPH. I don't think our car is faster than the RX-7.
