I put my top down at stop lights all the time. I even put it down when I'm in bumper-to-bumper traffic on the freeway. Six seconds is very fast and the last time I put it down on the freeway, the woman in the car next to me said, "Wow! That's a fast retraction!" She said her husband had a convertible BMW in which it takes forever to raise and lower the top.

I drop the top at a stop all of the time. Usually people around me are jealous.

Oh, just a word of caution: if anyone with a remote starter is thinking of doing this, don't disconnect the ebrake wire, because you most likely need this for your starter.

I think it would be safe to remove the white/black however.

Heck yeah, I expect them to be patient and wait. Here's how I see it:

If it is a nice car meaning they paid more than me for the car, they have the right on the road.

If it is an average car, this means I spent more money then them to be on the road, therefore I do what I want and they have to wait for me while I do so

My logic kicks ass, seeing as how very few cars on the road are nicer than our S2000's!

Vince - Is this really the kind of information you want to spread around the internet?!
