Default Top Won't Go Down

I was driving for about an hour or so today and I wanted to lower the roof. I pulled it back and hold, but nothing happened. So I shut off the engine and pulled the key out. And started it back up again, this time it went down, but then again I drove for a little bit more then it was time to put the top back and it won't go up. I had to repeat what I did previously twice or so then it went up. Does this ever happen to your car?

You know the sound (click) when press on the button to lower your windows and also when lowering the top. I didn't hear that sound. Weird.

NO, THAT'S NOT IT!!

DON'T DO IT AGAIN!!

What you have are elastic bands that have lost their elasticity. It doesn't pull the middle bar down and when this happens FIST SIZE HOLES APPEAR IN THE TOP JUST BEHIND THE LATCHES.

Modifry has replacement bands.

Your ebrake needs to be up and then you press the button for the top.

2 years ago in the middle of winter here in Montreal I put the top down for a few minutes because I just got the car.... and it was freezing...I didn't know how to put the top back up with the e-brake thing so I had to drive 30 mins in -15 degree C weather to get back to my garage....

so there you'll feel better now
