Toronto S2000 Owners?
There are a bunch of us in and around Toronto. I bought mine from Sisley. And I bought it thru the Royal Buyback Program. It has a Buyback like a lease, but I own it, with title in my name.
Well not living in Toronto, but around Toronto in Creemore....I suppose its around, takes me an hour to get into town. Anyhow...
I actually bought the car through a dealer in Quebec, paid considerably under MSRP on a Spa Yellow with hardtop. Waited till MY2001 year end.
Strange deal on how I own this car, company paid for it, I own it...suckers used it as my bonus.
If you want to break some sales persons nuts on a deal for a MY2001 let me know.

Ya, i'd like to get one, but i'm a student so I can only put 10-30k down then I have to finance the rest.
I checked autotrader.ca and found almost a dozen S2000s for sale. I don't know if I should get a used 2000 model or go for a 2002 cause of the glass window.
53k for a yellow 2001 with hardtop, how does that sound?

The math is correct, however given the actual cost of them, plus a few percent for thier time and having it delivered makes the negotiable price total to about 48k. You can do it if you work at it and the dealer isn't a complete tool.
If the location is a high demand area, then you'll have a harder time getting the deal of course, supply and demand being what it is. However if you quote them actual costs (dealer cost) for the car and parts you can give them their little profit plus dealer markup (all the Spa's seem to sit on the lot for a long time) and they will take it. I had good luck with this tactic.
Takes a hell of a lot of time and effort on your part, but if a few hours and calls aren't worth 5-7k then hey I wanna work for you

Thanks for the advice dude. It's ironic that I just got back from an economics lecture haha.
With over 12 S2K's on the market here the mark up shouldn't be as bad as it was in early summer hehe.

At least you can rest assured that you will never pay over MSRP, like our american neighbours. But there are deals to be had. I bought mine 2 years ago, I asked for a discount, They laughed. The first time I think I ever paid retail for anything. But it was still worth it. The 9 month wait on the otherhand was murder!!
When you are ready be sure to ask for our help if you need it. Lord knows there are a few dealers that owe us some favours
