That dealer is still making about 8k on you...thats way too much in my books.

If its any of the ones that have been on trader.ca, they have been there for MONTHS now.

Tell them you'll pay 48K and go to 49 if they won't work on it. Remember to walk away as much as possible. Hell show them you have cash..give them proof of payment something to make them drool to get rid of it.

Remember not only will they be making the big dollars on you, they also get the holdback bucks..which is 2% on the S2000.

Personally at this point they should feel lucky to make the 2% on it this time of year..and their getting 2002 next year is BS. A dealer near me is getting one (small small dealer) in November.

evolution, if you have that kind of money for a down payment and what ever means of meeting a monthly payment you can go to the bank. Honda Canada has crap interest rates on the S2000. I would be surprised if the bank couldn't better it with the low prime rate right now.

I think you should take heed of what Vince has been saying. There is a lot to be saved.

I wouldn't worry too much, if you decide to finance through the dealer they will do there upmost to push it through because they make as much money on the financing of this type of vehicle ('family' vehicles usually have lower interest rates and SUV's have HUGE mark ups -circa 20%) as on the mark up over factory cost.

Have fun and remember when buying a car you hold ALL the Aces.
