This guy told me %50, I think it is based on year and car type but I will try and find out for you guys.

The police report is nothing but BS it holds no merit unless he seen the accident happen. He only takes a statement from who is involved and issues a citation if he can to make money for his county.

it's probably totalled... there's always the possiblity of damage that the appraiser can't see, but once they would start pulling the car apart to fix it, I'm sure there would be a supplement for additional work needed.

Turns out its %75 of the value in order to total it.... this just gets worse and worse. The control arm brackets are pulled apart as well. I will probably just take a settlement check, get my parts and sell it for what I owe or something, at this point I don't know, they still need to check the engine and drive train for damage.

AllStates rule states that %50 of the value of the car in damages to be considered a total loss only on 2004 and up cars.

 

Uh....yeah.....that's the ticket. That guy's a moron. He should've known you were back there sniffing his farts and stopped gently after you were done tailgating him.

 

$7500 is just the start. As someone mentioned above, once they start taking the car apart, they'll realize there's much more damage that's not visible.

That looks like MUCH more than $7500...
