The vtec solenoid connector was knocked loose, would that make the engine run bad? When pulling to a stop the engine was not running nicely, there was a lot of vibration, the engine was untouched in the accident other than that one connector.

Thats what happened basically.

It seems my car was worth $15,212 - $16,775 range. I only owe $14,700 so maybe I will come out ahead. Sucks that I have to take all my parts off now, will take a week to get all my stuff off of it.
I think it is totaled. Just be glad you actually have the time to take the parts off. A lot of people dont get the chance to take parts off.

Well I guess I'm buying it back so I'll have all the time I want Unless they let me take the parts, but then there won't really be much of a car left, no diff, no axles, no intake manifold, or throttle body no pulley, no exhaust, no rotors.

Wow Good luck Shock with everything, sorry to see your car in a bad way.

The police report is nothing but BS it holds no merit unless he seen the accident happen. He only takes a statement from who is involved and issues a citation if he can to make money for his county.

It's done. That's at least 80% of FMV.

Appraiser came out today, he said $7500 and not totaled. I told him I was very displeased with his decision. His opinion isn't the end all though, I have to get an estimate. The same thing happened to my Dad, the appraiser said not totaled and then he got an estimate and it was totaled. The car books for $15,200 on the low end of all the book values I've seen, so he doesn't want to total the car over $100

Whats the rule of thumb for totaling a car? I thought it was when the damages exceed 75% of the value.
