but your car's one side was totally damaged. another side is fine. so if u convinced cops well after they showed up, let them understand that that idiotic women try to cut into the lane. then it is going to be her fault.
the car's damage showed pretty obvious.

just one advice, use your horn often if u dont feel safe. this is what i always do. u dont have to care if it's rude or it is not nice that u use horn to other people. using horn that can let those morons get hell away from u, use it. there are always some morons who don't know how to drive. dont be nice to them because u may dmg your car, and wont be nice to u.

it's going to be so much pain if it's your fault. she may claim money for some physical injury. your insurance company will need to cover both of you. then your insurance fee gonna increase hella much.
first of all sorry to see your car damaged like that...i would probably be depressed.

and to the guy saying use your horn, hell yes. some dumb broad in a MB r350 was trying to move into my lane when i was RIGHT next to her. honked the @!%$ out of her car and she got scared but she scared me too so w/e.

conclusion is..."MOST" women really can't drive.

Decided on what I will do with the car. I am going to take a settlement, which is still to be determined. I'm going to try and get as much as possible from the car, stress that I use this car for competetive driving etc etc. Then I am going to part it out, take all my performance parts off and put them on an 06 S2K that my mom had, then sell the shell, if I can't sell it I'll crush it. I'll use all the money from settlement and checks to pay off the loan. My mom was willing to give me her car, didn't really want it but with everything getting so expensive we can't really afford to buy another S2K and this will help out the rents while I'm in college. Whole situation sux but can't really do anything about it and I guess someday when I get a real job I'll have to buy my mom a replacement S2K hehe.

Turns out its %75 of the value in order to total it.... this just gets worse and worse. The control arm brackets are pulled apart as well. I will probably just take a settlement check, get my parts and sell it for what I owe or something, at this point I don't know, they still need to check the engine and drive train for damage.

AllStates rule states that %50 of the value of the car in damages to be considered a total loss only on 2004 and up cars.
They may not let you take any parts off of it. If they total it, they own it, not you. They may, however, allow you to take off aftermarket parts if you replace them with the factory originals.

Well its definitely not going to get totaled. Even with every nut and bolt its still $3000 short of being totaled, they are using %75 of the value as their guideline. The estimate I got from our local Honda dealer was $8300.

Do you guys think its possible someone is actually good enough to fix it where nobody can tell this ever happened?

I've added up about $8100 worth of OEM parts and thats not including the interior I could sell.

I'm very surprised. I not sure it will run the same. I hope so though.

I am parting it out now, I paid off the loan with the insurance money and put the rest on CC haha. I will have an official part out thread up in about two weeks, school is kicking my butt at the moment so no time to wrench on her right now. Tx guys, Shock.

Sorry for the bad news and glad you are OK.

Someone hit my wife's new civic several years back (it was 2 months old) and did $1,100 in damage. Body shop messed it up 3x (honda bodyshop) and it went to another shop to be fixed right. Ended up costing MetLife (their insurance) over 11K (no joke) in repairs on the car and rental for us.

Even if they demand to fix it, you can raise hell until it is fixed right.
