Old School Biker term for a crash where the bike and rider slide over the outer edge (highside) of a curve form losing traction due to wet or rough pavement, excessive speed, or, more than likely, simply showing one's ASS, drunk, stoned or sober!

so on march 9th i totaled my RYP 04 S. car high sided on a on ramp and hit a wall doing 45ish. found out a few days later car was totaled more than 16k in damage. But i am back in a S. this time its a 2006 GPW S. i need another one because my experience was short lived.
Sounds like a super fast payout, usually they take their sweet time before issuing a check for a totaled car.
Well congrats I guess, hopefully this one will last a little longer.

A motorcycle highside is when you go over the top of the bike. Usually what happens is you're leaning for a turn, tires break traction and you start sliding, if the tires catch grip the bike can snap over and you go over the top of the bike. Tends to be more painful due to the impact with the ground.
A low side is when the bike looses traction and slides out from under you.
I have no idea how that can be applied to driving a car.

Insurances should required a driving class prior to insuring these cars if under a certain age! It would save everyone money!
Congrats on getting a replacement so fast. Time to take some driving classes before trying to push any limits in it.
