I suspect the OP meant tank-slapper. Another term borrowed from the MC world that does apply to cars, and would seem could apply to this accident.
MC tankslapper = bump etc causes handlebars to wag back-and-forth, sometimes violently.
Auto tankslapper = Overcorrected sliding oversteer where a series of back-and-forth slides occur as driver fights to regain control.

They can't. Instead they look at loss profile of certain cars, age brackets, etc and charge premium accordingly. Unfortunately, that impacts all of us.
I hope OP this time respects the car he drives. Know your limits. You aren't the only person on the road. For now be glad it was just the car. You might not have that luck next time.

Not completely true. This is a convertible after all. No seatbelt, helluva impact and you could conceivably eject yourself and "highside". Probably wouldn't be posting to a forum about it though, certainly not in a similar time frame.
Cars don't lean, so no way to high or low side (well yeah, they do roll some, but there really isn't a low side and high side of car while cornering. Besides, car leans opposite from bike lean.)
