Wow. That really sucks. Sorry to hear about that.

At least no one was seriously hurt.

Unfortunately these things happen, they happen quickly and they can happen to anybody. It is nobody's place to point a finger. Maybe it was cold tires or maybe it was any number of things. Who knows? Fortunately, you are ok, and that's what really counts.

The trick now is to pick yourself up, brush yourself off, and move on.

Good luck.

1. DON'T PUSH THE CAR ON WINTER TIRES WHEN IT GETS LESS THAN 50 DEGREES.

+1

I think you mean don't push the car on Summer tires etc...

I'm 100% with you on this and wet/cold tires etc..

I do have a question, does anyone know if it's the car or the tires? I mean SO2s are great but don't exactly give a ton of warning. Are there some summer tires that give better warning? I mean tires that nibble at the limit instead of biting your arm off?

Next question, will stability control make the S2000 safer? I don't know, but it's an interesting question. Still there are laws of physics, I mean if you throw it away, I'm not sure any computer controls will save you.

S02, half worn, cold weather, slightly heavy right foot. Not a good combination, man.

I'm glad you are ok. Now go get the brand new Civic Si. It is hot!!!!!!

I'm really glad you're okay. The car may get turned around easily, but it sure protects the occupants.

I don't know about the airbags, but the rest looks like, with a bit of Zaino and elbow grease, would buff up just fine.

Both cars are definitely totalled!

When the cost of repairing a car reaches around 70% of its value, most insurance companies will total a car. That does not mean that it isn't repairable. My red car was purchased and repaired by a body shop owner who fixed it up and sold it with a salvage title. The estimate on repairs to my car totalled about $15,000, and it's value at the time was about $21,000. I received a check for the car's value and then the insurance company sold the car to the body shop. The owner of the shop later told me that it was a lot more work than he anticipated and he didn't make much money on the deal.

It looks like I had a different definition for the word "totalled=destroyed".

But now I get your point CoralDoc.
