Default Tow Hook On The Street

Hey I've been deating whether to get tow hooks...I love the look but I don't wanna be a poser....car is street only....never go to the track with it...I don't wanna have that civic w/bumper cutouts image but I love the look....feel free to flame me cause I like it but find it rediculous at the same time...anyone have pictures of the T1R or GoFastLab on the car?? thanks

my girlfriend lived in the city for awhile. i thought about getting tow hooks to serve as a "bumper saver". Anytime you mod a car. its all opinion of what looks good. If you like it i say do it and dont worry about it

Another down side is that you just made it easier to steal your car...

I used the OEM tow hook on the back for a while as a bumper saver. It worked surprisingly well.

I think the biggest problem of running a fancy tow hook, like a J's, is that someone will steal it.

A fold-down like the T1R or the super sexy ASM tow hook would be nice.

Trust me, it'll be pretty hard to steal a J's Tow Hook, a front one anyway, as they bolt to the frame. The t/hs that screw into the stock location are easily removed. IMHO.

Now as for someone standing on and bending a t/h as an act of vandalism, that's another story.

Well, if someone wants to vandalize an S2k, there's a hell of a lot more vulnerable (and expensive) parts than a tow hook.

I like the idea of using it as a bumper saver, although if you are unfortunate to hit something solid (like a wall), the impact will no longer be distributed over the relatively expendable bumper and instead will be focused on a small (but admittedly strong) part of the frame.

Tow hooks aren't too ricey IMO.

yeah i was thinking about the fact that it would be harder to steal...but it could just as easily be solen w/the tow hook...just break the window, neutral and hand brake off down...roll it and gone onto the flatbed...same shit...and as to stealing the tow hook...red loctite heheheheheheh
