Will this pump run and lubricate moving parts in the gearbox correctly when the car is towed? I dont know.
The workshop manual did not describe the function of this little pump in deep.
Do you have any pics of the pump and trans break down from the manual?

Take a look at these trailers. It appears they would work well with the smaller S. You won't have to worry about damaging it and it will be ready to go when you stop. I have not used one of these but have thought about it.

Pretty cool concept. Don't know how you can get in and out of the door though.

If you want a lightweight trailer this one is good for the S GVRW 5200#

I'd want a closed trailer or some way to keep road crud off the car. Closed trailer seems to be the best option. Side door access door probably necessary and always a good idea.

S2000 owners manual states the tow eye is just to get the car unstuck and not to tow the car more than that. Transport with all wheels on a transport truck or trailer.

Chuck, that video is hilarious. Try to do this on the cheap or have a plan thats not thought out very well and one can mess up the front bumper/splitter on any car.
Here is what I use to lessen the angle of attack on my 18' open tilt trailer.

One could make ramps extenders as long as needed for a car with a very low stance, I've seen cars with around 2" of clearance loaded on trailers and not rub the splitter. Also on any open trailer one can add a front 3' or 4' nose guard to keep rock chips and a lot of dirt away from the car. My car still gets dirty when we tow it in the rain but a car wash fixes that.

The video highlights a problem following the requirement to get all four wheels off the pavement. Tilt bed "tow" truck will have the same angle issues.

I had my S2000 moved from Cleveland to Richmond in 2017 in a purpose built, closed car trailer with a low deck and ramp angle that let me drive on/off. Narrow though but since the trailer was closed I could drop the roof to get out/in the car. Certainly over-built for towing a car behind a motor home but fully closed is very nice.

Here is a short video of a Smart Car getting loaded. The width of the 14' trailer is 6'3" which should be enough to crack the door and or open a window.

Slick idea. Quick look didn't find any pricing and those that look long enough for a S2000 seem to weigh as much as the car itself.
