Trade my 05 for this 06?

I could care less about VSA, frankly. It's an "anti-fun system"....hehe.
Are the 2006+ seats more comfortable than the 00-05? The seat bottom and back look the same, with the headrest being the only difference from what I can tell.

LBP is the hottest color so I think it's definitely worth it. 14k miles is a HUGE difference....that's a year's worth of driving for alot of ppl. The seats for the MY06+ AP2's are nicer imo.
When you think about all you're gaining from the MY06, the benefits will easily exceed $4000. Don't forget to include the value that you're gaining by just getting a car with lower miles/later model year

Plus I'd have to settle for the icky AP2v2 wheels.
it wouldn't hurt to just test waters locally in a private sale (list your car on some free advertising sites to see if you get any interest) and if you get a buyer, check to see if the 06 you wanted is still available and go from there. That way its kind of a lower-loss situation money-wise in a time where spending money needs a double take.
this way you can get maximum value for your car over what a dealers trade in would give, and then the 06 will seem like a much better deal! and if you don't get any interest, your stuck with, well...an s2000 still so its not that big a deal

Honestly ... VSA would be the plus on the 06
I wouldn't recommend you respraying the car. Factory paint and aftermarket paint just arne't the same. Also not to mention your resale value might get jinxed.
Anyway, I would just keep the car. I deliberately chose the 2004 and 2005 in 2006 PERSONALLY because of cosmetic stuff and the stupid reclineable seats. However, sometimes I do wish I have VSA just to keep my right foot from doing stupid things
