I seem to remember reading that somewhere but could be wrong.

Yup I saw that episode too. Don't want to sound like broken record but during accel test, the launch was weak. They had a mic on-site and you could hear the driver barely above idle while letting clutch out. I don't abuse my clutch but...... gimmie a break.
C&D had the 5.3 sec 0-60 for MY03. They (I think it was Csaba himself) stated that some practice is needed to get the S a decent 1/4mi & 0-60 time. I can't agree more. But as we can all agree to, our S was not designed to be a drag strip terror.
It was interesting to see the 04 in action though. Am seriously contemplating a trade-in from 02 to 04 or 05.

The 0-100km/h test is becomming more ludacris every day. A car manufacturer should design a transmission best for the engine, and not for the reporter driving it.
That's why the STI in tests is slower in the 0-60 run than the Evo, but pulls a faster 1400 meter. Each one is geared best for it's setup, but can hurt one in certain situations.

[I]In fact, chassis balance is just about perfect, and body roll almost nonexistent. This is one sweet handling car! So sweet that it turned in quicker lap times than both a Mazda RX-8 and Nissan 350Z that we were testing at the track at the same time.
