Muz,

Can't see clearly from pictures. Is this designed to fit over the existing moulded plastic "thingy with fur" or in place of it.

In fact I will be interested in a full item so that I can "relocate" my CD changer to the floor of my garage just so that my boot is a bit bigger. I also then have the excuse to get a new head unit with a security code and single CD indash, no matter which CDs are in the changer it is never the one I feel like.

Will you be doing the sides and back of the boot. You mention "sides" in the initial posting but not sure we have the same interpretation. If you are and it will replace the existing pieces then you could look into gaining some space by "opening" up the currently closed off areas over the tank (under the rear shelf). This would work well with the brave ones who don't want to carry a spare.

Muz,

What I meant was, do I leave the current floor covering in place and put your mat over it. My concern with this idea is that it effectively puts two layers on the floor and further reduces the boot size. I appreciate that the original material is solid and therefore gets rid of little ridges, etc., but this can be achieved with a good cotton soundproofing backing glued to the carpet.

Muz,

I gotta hand it to you, you do excellent work! With all of these mats being designed our cars are turning into one big living room floor Just kidding, Muz, but seriously you're doing something right here! Keep up the good work.

Oh .. I see. Yes it goes over and protects the stock carpet. I just went down the garage and had a look and the stock carpet appears glued to some kind of molding. It's incredibly thin so removing it, if indeed it's possible, might not be that much of a gain.

Muz,

The trunk mat looks great! One question, will you make a version that allows access to the cargo net tie-down points (I think there are 6: 2 in front of the well, 2 behind the well, and 2 on the upper trunk lip)? I don't know about others, but I use the tie-down net all the time.
