koejing,

I am the person Muz has asked to check the fit with regard the passenger side of the boot as I have removed my CD Changer.

I looked at the install instructions for the cargo net and I have some questions that you (or others) might be able to answer as we don't get the net here (that I know of).

- Would the hooks be able to screw through the extra thickness of an extra layer of carpet? Remember the standard boot molding has a recess for the clip / hook positions and I am not sure the new carpet could mold to that shape without puckering.

- If not would stitched eyelets be a way of getting access to the hooks, if yes what is the diameter of the hooks, or more correctly what would be the diameter of the required eyelets?

Finally a question to all. Is there only one version of the cargo net? The version that I see from the US Honda dealers replaces four of the christmas tree clips that hold the boot floor molding with hooks, but I seem to remember a photo in one of the discussions that showed a different version.

Thanks.

And here are the Console/Secret Compartment mats...

There are 3 mats to the set and 2 velcro tabs for the main glovebox mat (you're not obliged to use them). The mats are made from the same marine grade carpet as my floormats.

I've had them made for my car and am happy if that's all that comes of it, however if anyone is interested all you have to do is yell and I'll get them made for you.

The mat set would run at around $15-20 Australian I'd say (to be confirmed).

I haven't looked at shipping but should be able to send them in medium sized envelopes or in with individual orders of other products and the product is lightweight so it should be quite cheap...I'm hoping no more than a few dollars AUD max (maybe 3-5?).

Now can anyone tell me if there is any difference in the glovebox between LHD & RHD? It may sound silly but I'd rather be safe than sorry.

Col & Muz,

I will take some pictures/measurements of the cargo net tie-down hooks this evening and e-mail them to you both. I don't remember how long the hook threads are, so I can't say whether stitched eyelets will be necessary. That said, I would be happy to test fit any prototype versions in my car (I also have the Honda 6-Disc changer).

Muz,

those look pretty cool, but would you post a couple of pictures of them in place? It's pretty hard to tell how they'll fit...

Thanks,

Ted
